The winner of the solo division crossed the line after 34 hours of hard riding, made harder by 20-30 mph headwinds. Of the 13 solo riders that started the race, only 5 crossed the line including first time competitor André Michaud in 4th with a time of 42h 18m. Congratulations to all  who participated and especially to André, an accomplished ultra-runner with many 100 mile runs to his credit, on his debut ride. It was an honor to crew for him on this remarkable, super human endeavor.

Much more landscaping to go and a rebirth of Ugly Ursula, the hastily thrown together cinder block smoker used for the New Year’s party. Details on the heritage pig project to follow.

Pete has much better images on his facebook page, but Ugly Ursula, the homemade cinder block smoker worked great on the meat and the Stumptown Shooters pulled off a great fireworks show. Here’s to the new decade… cheers!

A 10 day adventure in the Himalayas is never a bad thing…

Around Oct. 16 new content should be available, complete with links to photographers, clients and useful resources. A better looking gallery with titled slideshows is coming, as well as a few sub-pages with past portfolios and the latest work (ie. Bhutan).

]]> http://www.davidgreedy.com/blog/2007/10/04/still-working/feed/ 2 a look to what is ahead… http://www.davidgreedy.com/blog/2007/09/23/a-look-to-what-is-ahead/ http://www.davidgreedy.com/blog/2007/09/23/a-look-to-what-is-ahead/#comments Sun, 23 Sep 2007 12:26:27 +0000 David http://www.davidgreedy.com/blog/?p=3 hello all… yes, this is the first post on the slowly evolvoing davidgreedy.com; a site which i am envisioning to include not only my portfolio work, but also an updated slide show where you can see what i’m up to, a slideshow of recent work and other photo-related information. this requires trying out new technologies that i haven’t the faintest idea about, so bugging friends and colleagues to pitch in and help is the way to go… as well as hiring some folks who really know what is up! this may take a little while to work out, but the end result should be worth it. with a birthday coming up later this week, the pressure is on as having slideshows embedded by then would be the best present i can give myself – and something that i can share with you all.
